Dark Alleys? Heck No.

After recieving a very innapropriate email that was instructing me to update my blog, I figured, why the heck not. I'll give the people what they love.
This thanksgiving weekend I went on a spur of the moment trip to New York City with my friend Melissa. Another fabulous friend of mine Les has told me numerous times how cool New York City is so I wanted to check this out myself. Plus, I wanted to see the Naked Cowboy REAL bad.
Both Melissa and I are equally excitable when it comes to the Latin man so we enjoyed a couple nights out in the local establishments of the Latin persuasion on Long Island and the infamous Copacabana in Manhattan. Honestly, if you have never learned how to
Salsa

Bachata

Meringue
you need to try all of these atleast once. Everyone that reads this knows how to shake their hips so you have no excuse!
Both nights we were the only white people in both places and could hold our own so we were pretty darn proud.
I wasn't overly excited about New York City as a whole, it's pretty dirty, there are visible rats in the subway, everything is overpriced and I think they spend way too much money on retail than cleaning up their streets.
However, it was exciting. It was day light at 5am because the lights are so bright, the shopping is fabulous, and if their accents don't kill you they will only make you stronger.

A trip to NYC? Out of the blue? Seriously? That's pretty cool. I've never done something like that spur of the moment. But I have been to New York once. It was cool.

But it looks like the spam is back. I guess you gotta step up the prevention a notch.

I was dancing last night Bachata place called the Aud, but it wasn't very Latin. Polka comes to mind... but it worked out well for me.
